KazNIIZhiK Hosted a Delegation of Scientists from the L.K. Ernst Federal Research Center for Animal Husbandry

On November 28, 2025, the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry and Feed Production (KazNIIZhiK) hosted, as part of a working visit, a delegation of scientists from the Russian Federation — the L.K. Ernst Federal Research Center for Animal Husbandry. The visit was aimed at developing and deepening scientific cooperation between specialized scientific organizations of the two countries.

The delegation included Alexander Alexandrovich Sermyagin, Director of the branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Genetics and Breeding of Farm Animals, as well as Roman Vladimirovich Nekrasov, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of Farm Animal Nutrition of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution “L.K. Ernst Federal Research Center for Animal Husbandry”.

During the working meeting, the parties discussed current and promising areas of joint activity. Particular attention was paid to the introduction of advanced technologies for feeding farm animals, the development of innovative approaches in feed production, as well as the application of modern methods of genetics and genomic analysis to increase the breeding value and productivity of animals.

The Russian scientists presented the results of their latest scientific developments, shared practical experience, and discussed the possibilities of adapting and implementing these solutions under the conditions of Kazakhstan. Following the meeting, priority areas for the implementation of joint research projects were identified, including the exchange of specialists and the conduct of joint experiments.

The visit marked an important stage in strengthening scientific ties between KazNIIZhiK and the L.K. Ernst Federal Research Center for Animal Husbandry, and also contributed to the development of international cooperation in the fields of animal husbandry, feed production, and agricultural technologies.
