Research carried out by the laboratory for milk and feed quality analysis at the Laboratory Research Center:

  • A complete chemical analysis of feed and various raw materials used in their production is conducted, and the chemical composition of milk is determined.
  • The nutritional value of the feed is determined. For this purpose, the laboratory conducts a comprehensive zootechnical analysis of the feed, including tests for 28 parameters, such as moisture (MV, GV, OV), DM, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, NDF, FDC, RFV, BEF, starch, sugar, ash, Ca, P, Mg, K, Na, carotene, amino acids (methionine, tryptophan, lysine, threonine), feed units, PP, OE, ECU. For silage and haylage: lactic, butyric, and acetic acids and pH of the environment.
  • Milk quality parameters are determined, where samples are analyzed for the following indicators: fat, protein, casein, lactose, urea, somatic cells, citric acid, freezing point, polyunsaturated acids, homogenization, conductivity, active acid, dry matter.

Research conducted by the Center for Laboratory Research's laboratory of molecular genetic examination:

  • Evaluation of traits useful for agriculture based on genetic markers
  • Genotyping of farm animals using RFLP, STR, and SNP markers
  • Determination of the parents of purebred animals
