Sep 17, 2025

The Molecular Genetic Analysis Laboratory of the Kazakh Research Institute of Livestock and Forage Production (KRILF) has successfully passed the international comparison tests organized by the International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG) and has been awarded an international certificate for cattle (Bos taurus) genetic testing.
This certificate confirms that the laboratory:
-
conducts STR-based identification and parentage verification analyses in compliance with international standards;
-
is fully authorized to issue genetic passports, perform breed identification, and provide scientific support for breeding decisions.
Previously, on September 9, 2025, the laboratory also received an ISAG certificate for horse genetic testing. Currently, results of the comparison tests for sheep are awaited and will be announced upon completion.
KRILF continues to provide reliable, internationally certified genetic services to Kazakhstan’s livestock sector. Detailed information and application procedures are available in the “Contacts” section of the institute’s official website.
