KRILF Scientists Complete Beekeeping Genetics Internship in Russia

In July 2025, scientists from the Beekeeping Department of the Kazakh Research Institute of Livestock and Forage Production (KRILF) — G.A. Moldakhmetova and T.O. Krupskiy — completed a professional internship at the N.V. Rudnitsky Federal Agricultural Research Center of the North-East in Kirov, Russian Federation.

The internship was part of the scientific program titled “Development of an Integrated System for Managing the Genetic Resources of Beekeeping and Technologies for the Effective Use of Bees in Pollination and Organic Production.”

During the program, participants studied theoretical and practical approaches to forming bee selection groups, evaluating colonies, and applying breeding techniques under various climatic and production conditions.

The knowledge and experience gained will support the scientifically grounded development of beekeeping in Kazakhstan, the advancement of organic honey production technologies, and increased efficiency in crop pollination.
