Official Presentation of the Scientific Work “Üyirli Zhylqy Sharuashylygy” Held in Almaty

On 5 May 2026, an official presentation of the scientific work “Üyirli Zhylqy Sharuashylygy”, authored by renowned scientists A. A. Torekhan and K. N. Begimbekov, was held in the main building of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University in Almaty.

The event was moderated by Primkul Sholpankululy Ibragimov, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University.

The presentation brought together leading scientists and experienced specialists in horse breeding, industry veterans, public figures and writers, young researchers, as well as representatives of business and the media. The content of the book, its scientific significance, and its practical value were discussed in detail and generated considerable interest among the participants.

Akhmet Ualikhanuly Toktabay, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, and renowned ethnographer, particularly emphasized the extensive and in-depth coverage of historical sources and the horse culture of the Kazakh people presented in the book.

Keneskan Ydyrysuly Duisembayev, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, and Honorary Hippologist, noted that the shortage of high-quality educational materials on horse breeding in the Kazakh language remains an important issue. He expressed particular satisfaction with the publication of this book. He also emphasized that the work was written in highly competent Kazakh and at a strong professional level, and stated that it would become an important educational resource for students and specialists in the field.

Beksultan Nurzheke-uly, People’s Writer of Kazakhstan and laureate of the State Prize, shared his views on the preservation of national values and the role of the horse in the spiritual culture of the Kazakh people.

Kairat Zhaleluly Iskhan, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences and Associate Professor, highlighted the relevance of the production and breeding issues addressed in the book.
