Seminar on Quality and Standardization of Beekeeping Products

On November 28, 2025, a seminar was organized and held on the topic: “Technologies and Equipment, and Their Impact on the Quality and Safety of Beekeeping Products. Environmental and Organic Requirements. Pollination as an Agronomic Practice for Increasing the Yield of Entomophilous Crops. Standardization of Honey for Entry into EU and Asian Markets.” The event took place at the East Kazakhstan Agricultural Experimental Station LLP in the Glubokoe district of East Kazakhstan region.

The seminar aimed to improve the awareness of agricultural producers, beekeepers, and agro-industrial specialists regarding modern technologies for the production, processing, and quality control of beekeeping products. The session covered in detail the requirements for safety and environmental sustainability of honey and other bee products, as well as the compliance with organic standards necessary for entering international markets.

A separate session was dedicated to the use of pollination as an effective agronomic practice for increasing the yield of entomophilous agricultural crops. Participants were presented with science-based approaches to organizing pollination activities and strengthening cooperation between crop production and beekeeping.

Lectures were delivered by Head of Department U.A. Nuralieva, specialist I.I. Rukavitsin, and leading specialist A.D. Zhumagaliev, who addressed practical aspects of modern equipment usage, methods of product quality control, and requirements for honey standardization for export to the European Union and Asian countries.

The seminar was organized by the Kazakh Research Institute of Livestock and Fodder Production LLP. The event was held within the framework of Subprogram 100 “Information Support for Agricultural Sector Entities on a Free-of-Charge Basis” under Budget Program 267 “Enhancing Access to Knowledge and Scientific Research,” with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Agrarian Scientific and Educational Center NJSC. The seminar marked an important step in the development of beekeeping and the expansion of the industry’s export potential.
